Description
A rich Hibiscus: the thread stays colourfast even when a piece is washed often — with strong reds that is far from given. The skein's 6 strands add up to 8 m of embroidery thread — enough for a medium design. A blunt embroidery needle finds the holes rather than the threads on counted fabric.
The skein also suits stitching names onto children's clothes — a small amount goes a long way. Anchor makes stranded cotton in a wide palette you can add to over years. Part-used skeins are best kept in your box with their band.

Sewing tips
- Den Strang nicht auseinanderziehen, sondern das Fadenende vorsichtig herausziehen.
- Zum Teilen die gewünschte Anzahl Fäden einzeln herausziehen und wieder zusammenlegen.
- Fadenlänge etwa 40 bis 50 Zentimeter — längere Fäden verdrehen sich und fransen.
- Eine Sticknadel mit stumpfer Spitze nimmt bei Zählstoffen die Löcher statt der Fäden.
- Vor dem Waschen des fertigen Stücks eine Farbprobe machen, besonders bei kräftigen Rottönen.

Frequently asked questions
How many strands do I stitch with?
That depends on your fabric. On coarse counted cloth people take three, on fine two, for solid areas all of them. A test stitch at the edge answers faster than any rule.
How long should the thread in my needle be?
Roughly a forearm's length. Longer threads twist while stitching, fray at the needle and end up looking different at the finish than at the start.
May I wash the embroidery?
Yes, this cotton is colourfast. With strong reds and blues a test on a scrap still pays off before the finished piece goes into a machine for the first time.
Is the skein sold singly?
Yes, every skein on its own. That lets you buy exactly the tones a chart asks for instead of an assortment full of colours you never need.
