Description
A full Phosphor Green: the thread keeps a clean tone and holds its depth under artificial light too. The skein's 6 strands add up to 8 m of embroidery thread — enough for a medium design. A blunt embroidery needle finds the holes rather than the threads on counted fabric.
Beyond embroidery, stranded cotton serves for tassels and charms because it drapes softly. The skein is the handy amount: small enough to buy several tones, large enough for a whole design. Embroidery lies flatter when the thread is not pulled too tight.

Sewing tips
- Den Strang nicht auseinanderziehen, sondern das Fadenende vorsichtig herausziehen.
- Zum Teilen die gewünschte Anzahl Fäden einzeln herausziehen und wieder zusammenlegen.
- Fadenlänge etwa 40 bis 50 Zentimeter — längere Fäden verdrehen sich und fransen.
- Eine Sticknadel mit stumpfer Spitze nimmt bei Zählstoffen die Löcher statt der Fäden.
- Vor dem Waschen des fertigen Stücks eine Farbprobe machen, besonders bei kräftigen Rottönen.

Frequently asked questions
Which needle do I need?
For counted fabric a blunt embroidery needle: it finds the existing holes instead of splitting the weave. For smooth wovens take a sharp embroidery needle with a large eye.
How do I take thread out of the skein?
Do not pull the skein apart; draw the end out gently. A skein is wound so the thread runs free from one side and tangles from the other.
May I wash the embroidery?
Yes, this cotton is colourfast. With strong reds and blues a test on a scrap still pays off before the finished piece goes into a machine for the first time.
Can I stitch any cross stitch chart with it?
Yes, as long as the chart gives Anchor numbers or a conversion. The tones have been stable for a long time, so older charts still match the current range.
