Light Yolk Yellow is a warm, strong tone between red and yellow. It reads friendly rather than loud and still stays clearly visible. Each skein measures 8 m and holds 6 separate strands you can divide as needed. The skein is sold singly.
On coarse weaves a thick line works better, on fine linen a thin one — match your strand count to the fabric. Matt cotton takes light differently from polyester — embroidery reads calmer and less technical for it. If you follow a chart, buying its tones together is the safer move.
What Anchor Sticktwist Dottergelb Hell is suitable for
- names on children's clothes
- borders and decorative lines on linen
- tassels and charms
Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions
How do I divide the thread?
Pull the number of strands you want out of the skein one at a time, then lay them side by side again. Pull several at once and you get knots instead of strands — the commonest beginner's mistake.
Which needle do I need?
For counted fabric a blunt embroidery needle: it finds the existing holes instead of splitting the weave. For smooth wovens take a sharp embroidery needle with a large eye.
How far does one skein go?
For a small to medium design usually well. If you plan a large area in one tone, two skeins are safer, since later batches can differ minimally.
Can I stitch any cross stitch chart with it?
Yes, as long as the chart gives Anchor numbers or a conversion. The tones have been stable for a long time, so older charts still match the current range.
