Lemon is not a tone for hiding. It belongs where things are meant to be seen. The spool carries 400 m. Weight 40 is the usual fineness for machine embroidery, and the colour code is 1623. The polyester is dyed through, so this tone stays the same over many washes.
On terry this thread adds hardly any bulk and still stays clearly visible. Madeira supplies Polyneon in a palette you can add to over years. The colour code on the spool makes every tone findable again. Note the colour code with your project straight away, then you will find this tone again.

Sewing tips
- Die Oberfadenspannung beim Sticken lockerer stellen als beim Nähen.

Frequently asked questions
What do I do when the thread breaks?
Usually your machine runs too fast or the tension is too tight. Slow down, loosen the tension and check the thread path. A net over the spool keeps the feed calm.
May I iron over the embroidery?
Best from the reverse and with a cloth between. Polyester takes heat, but direct heat flattens the stitches and robs a design of its relief.
Which colour should the bobbin thread be?
White under light fabrics, black under dark ones. On sheer material a look from the right side before stitching pays off — the wrong bobbin thread shimmers through a design.
Is the spool sold singly?
Yes, every spool is available on its own. That lets you restock one tone instead of ordering an assortment of which half stays unused in your box.
