Description

This thread shows Rose Quartz. On white fabric your seam stays restrained, on dark cloth it steps forward clearly. 500 m, weight 100, colour number 0035: printed on the spool so the colour stays reorderable. The thread is evenly twisted and therefore runs through your machine without jerking.

It also serves for buttonholes and decorative stitches, being even in thickness and easy for a machine to guide. Troja's colour range is broad enough to find a matching tone for most fabrics — and the number makes that tone findable again.

What Amann Troja Sewing Thread 500 m Rose Quartz is suitable for

  • clothing from wovens and knits
  • home textiles such as curtains and covers
  • children's clothes washed often

Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions

What stitch length is right?

For most fabrics it sits in the middle of your machine's range. The thicker the fabric, the longer the stitch — short stitches in thick material pucker a seam.

Can I sew buttonholes with it?

Yes. The thread is even enough in thickness for a buttonhole stitch to cover cleanly. On sturdy fabrics it helps to test the buttonhole on a scrap first.

May I iron over the seam?

Yes, at the temperature your fabric allows. The thread takes ordinary ironing heat; caution belongs with delicate fabrics rather than with the thread itself.

Can I mix different threads in one piece?

Better not within one seam. Different threads stretch differently, and your seam then pulls unevenly. Between two separate seams on the same piece it is no problem.
