Description
This thread shows Rosé. On white fabric your seam stays restrained, on dark cloth it steps forward clearly. Colour number 1063, weight 100, 500 m of yardage: the three figures that find this tone again later. The spool is sold singly, so you can top up one specific tone on purpose.
It also serves for buttonholes and decorative stitches, being even in thickness and easy for a machine to guide. Troja is Amann's all-purpose sewing thread. It is meant for everything sewn on a domestic machine, runs quietly and does not fray along a seam.

Sewing tips
- Stärke 100 passt zu Universalnadeln der Stärken 70 bis 90.
- Ober- und Unterfaden in derselben Farbe nehmen, sonst blitzt der Unterfaden an der Naht durch.
- Bei dehnbaren Stoffen einen elastischen Stich wählen — das Garn selbst dehnt sich nicht.
- Angebrochene Spulen stehend und dunkel lagern, dann bleibt die Farbe frisch.
- Farbnummer zum Projekt notieren; nach Augenmaß trifft man den Ton selten wieder.

Frequently asked questions
Does the seam take hot washing?
Yes. The thread is colourfast and copes with usual wash temperatures. What decides is your fabric: wash the piece as its material allows, not as the thread could.
Can I use this thread on an overlocker?
Better not. Overlock thread is softer and finer so the edge adds no bulk, and it comes on larger cones. Sewing thread runs restlessly in an overlocker and builds bulk.
Which colour do I pick when I cannot match the fabric?
When unsure, take the slightly darker option. A darker thread disappears into the cloth, a lighter one shows at once, especially along seams that catch the light.
Can I sew buttonholes with it?
Yes. The thread is even enough in thickness for a buttonhole stitch to cover cleanly. On sturdy fabrics it helps to test the buttonhole on a scrap first.
