Yellow stands on its own. Beside muted fabrics the tone reads stronger than its brightness suggests. This spool carries 500 m of thread at weight 100 plus colour number 0140 — by eye alone you rarely hit the tone again. Part-used spools keep their tone longest when stored upright and in the dark.
If you sew a lot, stock the frequent tones. At 500 m a spool that lasts a while. Troja belongs to the threads you do not explain but simply use. It sits in almost every sewing box and sews most of what lands there.

Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions
Which thread belongs on the bobbin?
This same thread in this same colour. Different tones above and below show along the seam as soon as your fabric moves. Only embroidery follows another rule.
How do I set the thread tension?
For most fabrics your machine's default will do. If the seam puckers, top tension is too tight; if the top thread lies loose on the surface, it is too loose.
Can I use this thread on an overlocker?
Better not. Overlock thread is softer and finer so the edge adds no bulk, and it comes on larger cones. Sewing thread runs restlessly in an overlocker and builds bulk.
What stitch length is right?
For most fabrics it sits in the middle of your machine's range. The thicker the fabric, the longer the stitch — short stitches in thick material pucker a seam.
