Petrol sits in the blue range and reads deep or fresh depending on the fabric — the surroundings decide. 500 m at weight 100 — enough for several garments. Colour number 1091. Together with a sharp needle, stitch formation stays clean even on long seams.
If you sew a lot, stock the frequent tones. At 500 m a spool that lasts a while. Troja takes ordinary washing. Your seam does not lose its colour, however regularly the piece goes into the machine. The colour number belongs noted with your project — later you will not hit the tone otherwise.

- Ober- und Unterfaden in derselben Farbe nehmen, sonst blitzt der Unterfaden an der Naht durch.
- Bei dehnbaren Stoffen einen elastischen Stich wählen — das Garn selbst dehnt sich nicht.
- Angebrochene Spulen stehend und dunkel lagern, dann bleibt die Farbe frisch.
- Farbnummer zum Projekt notieren; nach Augenmaß trifft man den Ton selten wieder.

Frequently asked questions
Can I sew jersey with it?
Yes, but with a stretch stitch. The thread itself does not stretch; the give has to come from the stitch, otherwise your seam bursts at the first firm pull.
How far does one spool go?
For a single garment it is usually enough several times over. If you plan a large project in one colour, buy two spools rather than restock mid-seam.
Does it suit topstitching?
Yes, as long as your seam should stay flat. For deliberately thick decorative seams on jeans there is heavier thread; for clean, discreet topstitching this one is right.
What is this thread made of?
It is a synthetic sewing thread, evenly twisted and therefore resilient. Unlike pure cotton it does not lose strength along a seam when washed often.
