Description
With Black you sew invisibly on dark fabrics and with maximum contrast on light ones. Each spool carries 500 m of sewing thread at weight 100, and the colour number reads 4000. This thread is bred not for sheen but for a seam that holds.
It also serves for buttonholes and decorative stitches, being even in thickness and easy for a machine to guide. Amann Troja is evenly twisted and therefore resilient. Your seam stays where you set it, even after many washes. Before your first seam a test piece on the same fabric pays off, then tension and stitch length are right.

- Stärke 100 passt zu Universalnadeln der Stärken 70 bis 90.
- Ober- und Unterfaden in derselben Farbe nehmen, sonst blitzt der Unterfaden an der Naht durch.
- Bei dehnbaren Stoffen einen elastischen Stich wählen — das Garn selbst dehnt sich nicht.
- Angebrochene Spulen stehend und dunkel lagern, dann bleibt die Farbe frisch.
- Farbnummer zum Projekt notieren; nach Augenmaß trifft man den Ton selten wieder.

Does the seam take hot washing?
Yes. The thread is colourfast and copes with usual wash temperatures. What decides is your fabric: wash the piece as its material allows, not as the thread could.
Which colour do I pick when I cannot match the fabric?
When unsure, take the slightly darker option. A darker thread disappears into the cloth, a lighter one shows at once, especially along seams that catch the light.
May I iron over the seam?
Yes, at the temperature your fabric allows. The thread takes ordinary ironing heat; caution belongs with delicate fabrics rather than with the thread itself.
Is the spool sold singly?
Yes, every spool is available on its own. That lets you top up one tone instead of buying a whole assortment of which half sits unused in the box.
