With Nougat you sew inconspicuously on anything carrying earth tones — from corduroy to faux leather. Each spool carries 500 m of sewing thread at weight 100, and the colour number reads 1223. If you need this tone on several pieces, buying two spools at once is the safer move.
Top and bobbin thread belong in your machine in the same colour, otherwise the bobbin flashes through along the seam. This thread comes from Amann and is a classic sewing thread — bred not for sheen but for clean, durable seams. A spool this size survives several garments before it runs out.

- Stärke 100 passt zu Universalnadeln der Stärken 70 bis 90.
- Ober- und Unterfaden in derselben Farbe nehmen, sonst blitzt der Unterfaden an der Naht durch.
- Bei dehnbaren Stoffen einen elastischen Stich wählen — das Garn selbst dehnt sich nicht.
- Angebrochene Spulen stehend und dunkel lagern, dann bleibt die Farbe frisch.
- Farbnummer zum Projekt notieren; nach Augenmaß trifft man den Ton selten wieder.

Can I sew jersey with it?
Yes, but with a stretch stitch. The thread itself does not stretch; the give has to come from the stitch, otherwise your seam bursts at the first firm pull.
How far does one spool go?
For a single garment it is usually enough several times over. If you plan a large project in one colour, buy two spools rather than restock mid-seam.
Which colour do I pick when I cannot match the fabric?
When unsure, take the slightly darker option. A darker thread disappears into the cloth, a lighter one shows at once, especially along seams that catch the light.
May I iron over the seam?
Yes, at the temperature your fabric allows. The thread takes ordinary ironing heat; caution belongs with delicate fabrics rather than with the thread itself.
