A restrained natural tone: Shell suits sand, linen and raw cotton without making the cloth colder or warmer. 500 m, weight 100, colour number 0601: printed on the spool so the colour stays reorderable. Together with a sharp needle, stitch formation stays clean even on long seams.
From cotton fabrics to polyester blends the colour range covers most of what a fabric shop carries. Troja takes ordinary washing. Your seam does not lose its colour, however regularly the piece goes into the machine. The colour number belongs noted with your project — later you will not hit the tone otherwise.

- Stärke 100 passt zu Universalnadeln der Stärken 70 bis 90.
- Ober- und Unterfaden in derselben Farbe nehmen, sonst blitzt der Unterfaden an der Naht durch.
- Bei dehnbaren Stoffen einen elastischen Stich wählen — das Garn selbst dehnt sich nicht.
- Angebrochene Spulen stehend und dunkel lagern, dann bleibt die Farbe frisch.
- Farbnummer zum Projekt notieren; nach Augenmaß trifft man den Ton selten wieder.

Frequently asked questions
Can I sew jersey with it?
Yes, but with a stretch stitch. The thread itself does not stretch; the give has to come from the stitch, otherwise your seam bursts at the first firm pull.
Does it suit topstitching?
Yes, as long as your seam should stay flat. For deliberately thick decorative seams on jeans there is heavier thread; for clean, discreet topstitching this one is right.
Can I sew buttonholes with it?
Yes. The thread is even enough in thickness for a buttonhole stitch to cover cleanly. On sturdy fabrics it helps to test the buttonhole on a scrap first.
Does this thread fit every sewing machine?
In the usual domestic machines yes. The spool sits on the normal pin; with a vertical pin a felt disc underneath helps the thread feed evenly.
