Description
The tone Amber belongs to the earth colours. Seams disappear into it on warm fabrics almost by themselves. The spool holds 500 m. Weight 100 is the fineness domestic machines expect, and colour number 0178 sits on the spool base. Together with a sharp needle, stitch formation stays clean even on long seams.
For assembling as much as for topstitching: at weight 100 your seam lies flat and adds no bulk. A sewing thread without a special purpose: Troja is built to work on wovens and knits alike.

- Stärke 100 passt zu Universalnadeln der Stärken 70 bis 90.
- Ober- und Unterfaden in derselben Farbe nehmen, sonst blitzt der Unterfaden an der Naht durch.
- Bei dehnbaren Stoffen einen elastischen Stich wählen — das Garn selbst dehnt sich nicht.
- Angebrochene Spulen stehend und dunkel lagern, dann bleibt die Farbe frisch.
- Farbnummer zum Projekt notieren; nach Augenmaß trifft man den Ton selten wieder.

Frequently asked questions
How do I set the thread tension?
For most fabrics your machine's default will do. If the seam puckers, top tension is too tight; if the top thread lies loose on the surface, it is too loose.
How far does one spool go?
For a single garment it is usually enough several times over. If you plan a large project in one colour, buy two spools rather than restock mid-seam.
Can I sew buttonholes with it?
Yes. The thread is even enough in thickness for a buttonhole stitch to cover cleanly. On sturdy fabrics it helps to test the buttonhole on a scrap first.
What is this thread made of?
It is a synthetic sewing thread, evenly twisted and therefore resilient. Unlike pure cotton it does not lose strength along a seam when washed often.
