Description
With Loden Green you hit the range between blue and yellow. Depending on your fabric the tone reads fresher or calmer. Each spool carries 500 m of sewing thread at weight 100, and the colour number reads 0554. The thread is evenly twisted and therefore runs through your machine without jerking.
Top and bobbin thread belong in your machine in the same colour, otherwise the bobbin flashes through along the seam. Amann Troja is tuned to the domestic machine: not too thick for fine fabrics, not too thin for sturdy ones.

- Stärke 100 passt zu Universalnadeln der Stärken 70 bis 90.
- Ober- und Unterfaden in derselben Farbe nehmen, sonst blitzt der Unterfaden an der Naht durch.
- Bei dehnbaren Stoffen einen elastischen Stich wählen — das Garn selbst dehnt sich nicht.
- Angebrochene Spulen stehend und dunkel lagern, dann bleibt die Farbe frisch.
- Farbnummer zum Projekt notieren; nach Augenmaß trifft man den Ton selten wieder.

How should I store the spools?
Upright, dry and out of the light. Direct sun bleaches the outer layers over time, and then the tone no longer matches the number on the spool.
How do I match the tone of an old seam?
Through the colour number if you still have it. Otherwise lay the thread straight onto the seam in daylight — artificial light shifts colours more than people expect.
May I iron over the seam?
Yes, at the temperature your fabric allows. The thread takes ordinary ironing heat; caution belongs with delicate fabrics rather than with the thread itself.
What is this thread made of?
It is a synthetic sewing thread, evenly twisted and therefore resilient. Unlike pure cotton it does not lose strength along a seam when washed often.
