Mistletoe is a tone that reads neither cold nor warm. That makes it straightforward on many fabrics. 500 m at weight 100 — enough for several garments. Colour number 1214. The thread is evenly twisted and therefore runs through your machine without jerking.
For repairs the colour number decides: with it you match the old seam's tone instead of guessing. Troja's colour range is broad enough to find a matching tone for most fabrics — and the number makes that tone findable again.

- Stärke 100 passt zu Universalnadeln der Stärken 70 bis 90.
- Ober- und Unterfaden in derselben Farbe nehmen, sonst blitzt der Unterfaden an der Naht durch.
- Bei dehnbaren Stoffen einen elastischen Stich wählen — das Garn selbst dehnt sich nicht.
- Angebrochene Spulen stehend und dunkel lagern, dann bleibt die Farbe frisch.
- Farbnummer zum Projekt notieren; nach Augenmaß trifft man den Ton selten wieder.

Frequently asked questions
Can I sew jersey with it?
Yes, but with a stretch stitch. The thread itself does not stretch; the give has to come from the stitch, otherwise your seam bursts at the first firm pull.
How should I store the spools?
Upright, dry and out of the light. Direct sun bleaches the outer layers over time, and then the tone no longer matches the number on the spool.
Is the spool sold singly?
Yes, every spool is available on its own. That lets you top up one tone instead of buying a whole assortment of which half sits unused in the box.
Does this thread fit every sewing machine?
In the usual domestic machines yes. The spool sits on the normal pin; with a vertical pin a felt disc underneath helps the thread feed evenly.
