Description
Dark Petrol is a cool tone that comes out especially clean on warm fabric. On denim it lies almost tone on tone. At 500 m per spool this thread goes a long way. Weight 100 suits the usual universal needles, and the colour number is 0314. The thread is evenly twisted and therefore runs through your machine without jerking.
Troja is an all-purpose sewing thread: it sews wovens as readily as knits, as long as a stretch stitch is set for anything elastic. Amann Troja is tuned to the domestic machine: not too thick for fine fabrics, not too thin for sturdy ones.

Why does my thread break?
Usually the thread is not at fault: a blunt needle, tension set too tight or a wrong threading path is. Change the needle first, then check the tension.
How do I match the tone of an old seam?
Through the colour number if you still have it. Otherwise lay the thread straight onto the seam in daylight — artificial light shifts colours more than people expect.
Can I mix different threads in one piece?
Better not within one seam. Different threads stretch differently, and your seam then pulls unevenly. Between two separate seams on the same piece it is no problem.
