Description
The tone Aquamarine Blue belongs among the colours needed most often — jeans, shirts and bed linen are rarely without blue. Each spool carries 500 m of sewing thread at weight 100, and the colour number reads 0409. Part-used spools keep their tone longest when stored upright and in the dark.
Top and bobbin thread belong in your machine in the same colour, otherwise the bobbin flashes through along the seam. This thread is tear-resistant without being stiff. Exactly that mixture is what a seam needs if it should move with the fabric.

- Bei dehnbaren Stoffen einen elastischen Stich wählen — das Garn selbst dehnt sich nicht.
- Angebrochene Spulen stehend und dunkel lagern, dann bleibt die Farbe frisch.
- Farbnummer zum Projekt notieren; nach Augenmaß trifft man den Ton selten wieder.

What is the colour number for?
It is the identity of this colour. With it you reorder the same tone years later, while comparing by eye or on a screen almost always misses.
How should I store the spools?
Upright, dry and out of the light. Direct sun bleaches the outer layers over time, and then the tone no longer matches the number on the spool.
Can I sew buttonholes with it?
Yes. The thread is even enough in thickness for a buttonhole stitch to cover cleanly. On sturdy fabrics it helps to test the buttonhole on a scrap first.
Can I mix different threads in one piece?
Better not within one seam. Different threads stretch differently, and your seam then pulls unevenly. Between two separate seams on the same piece it is no problem.
