This thread shows Turquoise. Against denim in any wash it is the tone that draws the least attention. Weight 100 and 500 m: the standard figures for sewing thread on a domestic machine. Note colour number 1440. If you need this tone on several pieces, buying two spools at once is the safer move.
For repairs the colour number decides: with it you match the old seam's tone instead of guessing. Amann Troja is tuned to the domestic machine: not too thick for fine fabrics, not too thin for sturdy ones.

- Stärke 100 passt zu Universalnadeln der Stärken 70 bis 90.
- Ober- und Unterfaden in derselben Farbe nehmen, sonst blitzt der Unterfaden an der Naht durch.
- Bei dehnbaren Stoffen einen elastischen Stich wählen — das Garn selbst dehnt sich nicht.
- Angebrochene Spulen stehend und dunkel lagern, dann bleibt die Farbe frisch.
- Farbnummer zum Projekt notieren; nach Augenmaß trifft man den Ton selten wieder.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use this thread on an overlocker?
Better not. Overlock thread is softer and finer so the edge adds no bulk, and it comes on larger cones. Sewing thread runs restlessly in an overlocker and builds bulk.
Can I sew buttonholes with it?
Yes. The thread is even enough in thickness for a buttonhole stitch to cover cleanly. On sturdy fabrics it helps to test the buttonhole on a scrap first.
How do I match the tone of an old seam?
Through the colour number if you still have it. Otherwise lay the thread straight onto the seam in daylight — artificial light shifts colours more than people expect.
Can I mix different threads in one piece?
Better not within one seam. Different threads stretch differently, and your seam then pulls unevenly. Between two separate seams on the same piece it is no problem.
