This thread shows Denim Blue. Against denim in any wash it is the tone that draws the least attention. Weight 100 and 500 m: the standard figures for sewing thread on a domestic machine. Note colour number 1276. The thread is evenly twisted and therefore runs through your machine without jerking.
For repairs the colour number decides: with it you match the old seam's tone instead of guessing. This thread comes from Amann and is a classic sewing thread — bred not for sheen but for clean, durable seams.
What Amann Troja Nähgarn Jeansblau is suitable for
- clothing from wovens and knits

- hems on trousers and skirts
Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions
How do I set the thread tension?
For most fabrics your machine's default will do. If the seam puckers, top tension is too tight; if the top thread lies loose on the surface, it is too loose.
Does it suit topstitching?
Yes, as long as your seam should stay flat. For deliberately thick decorative seams on jeans there is heavier thread; for clean, discreet topstitching this one is right.
Can I sew buttonholes with it?
Yes. The thread is even enough in thickness for a buttonhole stitch to cover cleanly. On sturdy fabrics it helps to test the buttonhole on a scrap first.
Can I mix different threads in one piece?
Better not within one seam. Different threads stretch differently, and your seam then pulls unevenly. Between two separate seams on the same piece it is no problem.
