Description
Red sits deep in the saturated range. Tone on tone against matching fabric it reads very self-contained. 500 m, weight 100, colour number 0106: printed on the spool so the colour stays reorderable. On sturdy fabrics your stitch length may sit a little longer so the seam does not pucker.
Troja has no place on an overlocker — softer overlock thread exists for that. In a sewing machine it is the obvious choice. Troja takes ordinary washing. Your seam does not lose its colour, however regularly the piece goes into the machine.

- Stärke 100 passt zu Universalnadeln der Stärken 70 bis 90.
- Ober- und Unterfaden in derselben Farbe nehmen, sonst blitzt der Unterfaden an der Naht durch.
- Bei dehnbaren Stoffen einen elastischen Stich wählen — das Garn selbst dehnt sich nicht.
- Angebrochene Spulen stehend und dunkel lagern, dann bleibt die Farbe frisch.
- Farbnummer zum Projekt notieren; nach Augenmaß trifft man den Ton selten wieder.

A universal needle in a medium size matches weight 100. For jersey take a ballpoint needle, for denim a jeans needle — the thread stays the same in both cases.
What is the colour number for?
It is the identity of this colour. With it you reorder the same tone years later, while comparing by eye or on a screen almost always misses.
Can I use this thread on an overlocker?
Better not. Overlock thread is softer and finer so the edge adds no bulk, and it comes on larger cones. Sewing thread runs restlessly in an overlocker and builds bulk.
What stitch length is right?
For most fabrics it sits in the middle of your machine's range. The thicker the fabric, the longer the stitch — short stitches in thick material pucker a seam.
