A full Savoy Green: the thread keeps a clean tone and holds its depth under artificial light too. The spool holds 500 m. Weight 100 is the fineness domestic machines expect, and colour number 1212 sits on the spool base. Part-used spools keep their tone longest when stored upright and in the dark.

- Ober- und Unterfaden in derselben Farbe nehmen, sonst blitzt der Unterfaden an der Naht durch.
- Bei dehnbaren Stoffen einen elastischen Stich wählen — das Garn selbst dehnt sich nicht.
- Angebrochene Spulen stehend und dunkel lagern, dann bleibt die Farbe frisch.
- Farbnummer zum Projekt notieren; nach Augenmaß trifft man den Ton selten wieder.

Which thread belongs on the bobbin?
This same thread in this same colour. Different tones above and below show along the seam as soon as your fabric moves. Only embroidery follows another rule.
How do I set the thread tension?
For most fabrics your machine's default will do. If the seam puckers, top tension is too tight; if the top thread lies loose on the surface, it is too loose.
May I iron over the seam?
Yes, at the temperature your fabric allows. The thread takes ordinary ironing heat; caution belongs with delicate fabrics rather than with the thread itself.
What is this thread made of?
It is a synthetic sewing thread, evenly twisted and therefore resilient. Unlike pure cotton it does not lose strength along a seam when washed often.
