Description
A clear Smoke Blue: the thread stays colourfast and never turns towards grey, however often it is washed. 820 m, weight 40, colour code 1028 — printed on the spool so the tone stays findable. This tone is lightfast, which counts above all on pieces that sit permanently by a window.
It also suits quilting stitches and visible topstitching wherever a seam is allowed to shine. A glossy polyester thread with no coating: the shimmer arises inside the filament and therefore stays permanently. Before your first design a test piece on the same fabric pays off — then tension and stitch density are right.

Sewing tips
- Für Stickmaschinen die Oberfadenspannung etwas lockerer stellen als beim Nähen.
- Als Unterfaden gehört ein dünnes Untergarn, nicht dasselbe Stickgarn.
- Die Spule so aufstecken, dass der Faden gleichmäßig abläuft — ein Fadennetz verhindert Schlaufen.
- Zu schnelles Sticken lässt den Faden reißen; bei dichten Motiven das Tempo drosseln.
- Stickvlies passend zum Stoff wählen: Die schönste Farbe nützt nichts, wenn sich das Motiv wellt.
- Farbnummer notieren, dann lässt sich dieselbe Farbe später eindeutig nachbestellen.

Frequently asked questions
What do I do when the thread breaks?
Usually your machine runs too fast or the tension is too tight. Slow down, loosen the tension and check whether the thread catches anywhere. A net over the spool keeps the feed even.
Why does my design ripple?
Usually the stitch count is too dense or stabiliser is missing. Reduce stitch density in your software, add the right stabiliser and hoop the fabric taut but not stretched.
May I iron over the embroidery?
Better from the reverse and with a cloth between. Polyester takes heat, but direct heat on the surface flattens the stitches and robs a design of its relief.
Which colour should the bobbin thread be?
White under light fabrics, black under dark ones. On sheer material take a look from the right side before stitching: the wrong bobbin thread shimmers through a design.
