Description
Neon Yellow is a light, warm shade that catches the eye at once on quiet ground. As topstitching it needs no second colour beside it. This large 820 m spool copes with densely stitched areas too. Weight 40, colour code 1901. The polyester is dyed through, so this tone stays the same after many washes.
If a design needs several tones, combine within the palette: spools look coherent side by side because the material is the same. Sulky Poly Deco shines without reading metallic. The thread stays soft enough for a finished design to feel pleasant.
What Sulky Poly Deco Embroidery Thread 820 m Neon Yellow is suitable for
- area fill stitches where the sheen pays off
- embroidery on textiles washed hot
- quilting stitches as a design element
Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions
What do I do when the thread breaks?
Usually your machine runs too fast or the tension is too tight. Slow down, loosen the tension and check whether the thread catches anywhere. A net over the spool keeps the feed even.
How should I store the spools?
Upright, dry and out of direct light. Polyester is lightfast, but dust on the thread carries lint into your machine. A closed box is the simplest answer.
Does this thread suit hand embroidery?
In principle yes, though it is unusual. For hand work people take divisible cotton stranded thread. Machine thread is finer and more slippery, but it shines considerably more.
May I iron over the embroidery?
Better from the reverse and with a cloth between. Polyester takes heat, but direct heat on the surface flattens the stitches and robs a design of its relief.
