Description
The tone Red is saturated and clear. If you mean to show a seam deliberately, colours like this are the answer. Each spool holds 820 m of thread at weight 40; the band carries colour code 1910. Because polyester takes up hardly any moisture, this thread stays supple even in damp rooms.
Polyester takes colour permanently. On pieces that go into the wash often, that is the decisive advantage over viscose. Boil-proof, colourfast, tear-resistant — Poly Deco brings the three qualities an embroidery thread needs on everyday textiles.
What Sulky Poly Deco Embroidery Thread 820 m Red is suitable for
- monograms and lettering
- decorative stitches on a sewing machine
- visible topstitching with a shine
Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions
How do I set the thread tension?
While embroidering the top tension may sit slightly looser than for sewing. It is right when the reverse shows roughly one third top thread and two thirds bobbin thread.
How may I wash the finished piece?
This thread is boil-proof and colourfast. What decides is your fabric, not the thread: wash the piece as its material allows. Even hot washing leaves the tone unchanged.
Can I sew with it normally?
For decorative seams yes, for load-bearing seams rather not. Embroidery thread is built for sheen and suppleness, not for the tensile strength a structural seam needs over years.
How do I plan several colours in one design?
Fix the sequence beforehand and lay the spools out in that order. You lose no time at each change and mix up no tones that look alike on screen.
