A soft Pink: the tone stays fresh through many washes and never turns towards grey. Weight 40 and 820 m per spool are the figures embroidery machines expect. Note down colour code 1108. Because polyester takes up hardly any moisture, this thread stays supple even in damp rooms.
It also suits quilting stitches and visible topstitching wherever a seam is allowed to shine. This Sulky thread is built to last. Polyester takes colour permanently, and its tear resistance is enough for densely stitched designs.

- Für Stickmaschinen die Oberfadenspannung etwas lockerer stellen als beim Nähen.
- Als Unterfaden gehört ein dünnes Untergarn, nicht dasselbe Stickgarn.
- Die Spule so aufstecken, dass der Faden gleichmäßig abläuft — ein Fadennetz verhindert Schlaufen.
- Zu schnelles Sticken lässt den Faden reißen; bei dichten Motiven das Tempo drosseln.
- Stickvlies passend zum Stoff wählen: Die schönste Farbe nützt nichts, wenn sich das Motiv wellt.
- Farbnummer notieren, dann lässt sich dieselbe Farbe später eindeutig nachbestellen.

How may I wash the finished piece?
This thread is boil-proof and colourfast. What decides is your fabric, not the thread: wash the piece as its material allows. Even hot washing leaves the tone unchanged.
Do I need stabiliser?
Yes, almost always. Stabiliser holds your fabric steady in the hoop so a design does not distort. Which one depends on the fabric: tear-away for wovens, cut-away for stretch.
Does this thread suit hand embroidery?
In principle yes, though it is unusual. For hand work people take divisible cotton stranded thread. Machine thread is finer and more slippery, but it shines considerably more.
May I iron over the embroidery?
Better from the reverse and with a cloth between. Polyester takes heat, but direct heat on the surface flattens the stitches and robs a design of its relief.
