Ocean Blue is a cool tone that comes out especially clean on warm fabric. On denim it lies almost tone on tone. This large 820 m spool copes with densely stitched areas too. Weight 40, colour code 1196. This thread is meant as much for an embroidery machine as for decorative stitches on a sewing machine.
Poly Deco is made for the embroidery machine: this thread runs calmly even at high stitch counts and takes the strain inside a design. As a polyester filament Poly Deco resists light and washing. Curtains and outdoor textiles keep their tone with it for a long time.

Sewing tips
- Für Stickmaschinen die Oberfadenspannung etwas lockerer stellen als beim Nähen.
- Als Unterfaden gehört ein dünnes Untergarn, nicht dasselbe Stickgarn.
- Die Spule so aufstecken, dass der Faden gleichmäßig abläuft — ein Fadennetz verhindert Schlaufen.
- Zu schnelles Sticken lässt den Faden reißen; bei dichten Motiven das Tempo drosseln.
- Stickvlies passend zum Stoff wählen: Die schönste Farbe nützt nichts, wenn sich das Motiv wellt.
- Farbnummer notieren, dann lässt sich dieselbe Farbe später eindeutig nachbestellen.

Do I need stabiliser?
Yes, almost always. Stabiliser holds your fabric steady in the hoop so a design does not distort. Which one depends on the fabric: tear-away for wovens, cut-away for stretch.
What is the colour code for?
That code on the spool is the identity of this colour. With it you find the same tone again years later, while ordering by eye or by screen colour almost always misses.
How should I store the spools?
Upright, dry and out of direct light. Polyester is lightfast, but dust on the thread carries lint into your machine. A closed box is the simplest answer.
Does this thread suit hand embroidery?
In principle yes, though it is unusual. For hand work people take divisible cotton stranded thread. Machine thread is finer and more slippery, but it shines considerably more.
