Description
Rosé reads friendly rather than loud. As topstitching on natural shades it gives a calm, warm contrast. The spool carries 820 m. Weight 40 is the usual fineness for machine embroidery, and the colour code reads 1064. The polyester is dyed through, so this tone stays the same after many washes.
Polyester takes colour permanently. On pieces that go into the wash often, that is the decisive advantage over viscose. Poly Deco is Sulky's standard embroidery thread: glossy polyester, cleanly wound and in a palette you can add to over years.

Sewing tips
- Für Stickmaschinen die Oberfadenspannung etwas lockerer stellen als beim Nähen.
- Als Unterfaden gehört ein dünnes Untergarn, nicht dasselbe Stickgarn.
- Die Spule so aufstecken, dass der Faden gleichmäßig abläuft — ein Fadennetz verhindert Schlaufen.
- Zu schnelles Sticken lässt den Faden reißen; bei dichten Motiven das Tempo drosseln.
- Stickvlies passend zum Stoff wählen: Die schönste Farbe nützt nichts, wenn sich das Motiv wellt.
- Farbnummer notieren, dann lässt sich dieselbe Farbe später eindeutig nachbestellen.

Frequently asked questions
What do I do when the thread breaks?
Usually your machine runs too fast or the tension is too tight. Slow down, loosen the tension and check whether the thread catches anywhere. A net over the spool keeps the feed even.
Does the sheen survive washing?
Yes. That shimmer arises inside the polyester filament rather than from a coating. So it is lost neither in the wash nor under an iron, as long as your fabric takes the treatment.
Which colour do I pick for which design?
Dark tones work on light fabric, light tones on dark. When unsure, lay the thread on the cloth before stitching — every colour looks different on a screen.
Which colour should the bobbin thread be?
White under light fabrics, black under dark ones. On sheer material take a look from the right side before stitching: the wrong bobbin thread shimmers through a design.
