The tone Black Brown belongs to the earth colours. Seams disappear into it on warm fabrics almost by themselves. Colour code 1189, weight 40, 820 m of yardage: three figures that let you reorder this exact tone later. Inside a design the thread lies flat and covers the ground reliably.
For area-filling designs the sheen pays off: large fill stitches read more lively with it than with matt thread. As a polyester thread Poly Deco is undemanding: it does not tear easily, does not lose its colour and survives washing at high temperatures.
Available in more colours in the Sulky Poly Deco series.
Yes. A fine bobbin thread belongs in the case, not this embroidery thread. Otherwise the reverse builds up bulk and your design ripples. Bobbin thread comes in black and white.
An embroidery needle covers most fabrics. It has a larger eye and a slight ball point, so the thread meets less friction and your weave stays undamaged. On dense designs a fresh needle after each larger project pays off.
That code on the spool is the identity of this colour. With it you find the same tone again years later, while ordering by eye or by screen colour almost always misses.
In principle yes, though it is unusual. For hand work people take divisible cotton stranded thread. Machine thread is finer and more slippery, but it shines considerably more.
