A full Light Brown: the thread brings depth without reading as hard as black. This large 820 m spool copes with densely stitched areas too. Weight 40, colour code 1128. Inside a design the thread lies flat and covers the ground reliably.

This thread comes from Sulky and is built as a polyester machine embroidery thread: smooth, glossy, tear-resistant. It stays colourfast even when a piece is washed hot regularly.

Sewing tips
- Für Stickmaschinen die Oberfadenspannung etwas lockerer stellen als beim Nähen.
- Als Unterfaden gehört ein dünnes Untergarn, nicht dasselbe Stickgarn.
- Die Spule so aufstecken, dass der Faden gleichmäßig abläuft — ein Fadennetz verhindert Schlaufen.
- Zu schnelles Sticken lässt den Faden reißen; bei dichten Motiven das Tempo drosseln.
- Stickvlies passend zum Stoff wählen: Die schönste Farbe nützt nichts, wenn sich das Motiv wellt.
- Farbnummer notieren, dann lässt sich dieselbe Farbe später eindeutig nachbestellen.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate bobbin thread?
Yes. A fine bobbin thread belongs in the case, not this embroidery thread. Otherwise the reverse builds up bulk and your design ripples. Bobbin thread comes in black and white.
Do I need stabiliser?
Yes, almost always. Stabiliser holds your fabric steady in the hoop so a design does not distort. Which one depends on the fabric: tear-away for wovens, cut-away for stretch.
Why does my design ripple?
Usually the stitch count is too dense or stabiliser is missing. Reduce stitch density in your software, add the right stabiliser and hoop the fabric taut but not stretched.
May I iron over the embroidery?
Better from the reverse and with a cloth between. Polyester takes heat, but direct heat on the surface flattens the stitches and robs a design of its relief.
