Description
This thread shows Mud. As topstitching on light linen it reads strong but never garish. 820 m, weight 40, colour code 1211 — printed on the spool so the tone stays findable. The thread is wound smoothly and feeds without jerking, which keeps stitch formation calm.
On terry and sweat this thread adds hardly any bulk while staying clearly visible — exactly what an embroidery thread should do. Poly Deco is Sulky's standard embroidery thread: glossy polyester, cleanly wound and in a palette you can add to over years.

Sewing tips
- Für Stickmaschinen die Oberfadenspannung etwas lockerer stellen als beim Nähen.
- Als Unterfaden gehört ein dünnes Untergarn, nicht dasselbe Stickgarn.
- Die Spule so aufstecken, dass der Faden gleichmäßig abläuft — ein Fadennetz verhindert Schlaufen.
- Zu schnelles Sticken lässt den Faden reißen; bei dichten Motiven das Tempo drosseln.
- Stickvlies passend zum Stoff wählen: Die schönste Farbe nützt nichts, wenn sich das Motiv wellt.
- Farbnummer notieren, dann lässt sich dieselbe Farbe später eindeutig nachbestellen.

Frequently asked questions
Does this thread suit hand embroidery?
In principle yes, though it is unusual. For hand work people take divisible cotton stranded thread. Machine thread is finer and more slippery, but it shines considerably more.
May I iron over the embroidery?
Better from the reverse and with a cloth between. Polyester takes heat, but direct heat on the surface flattens the stitches and robs a design of its relief.
Is the spool sold singly?
Yes, every spool is available on its own. That lets you restock one specific tone instead of ordering a whole assortment of which you need only half.
How do I hoop the fabric properly?
Taut like a drum skin, but without stretching the cloth. Pull it and you get ripples once it comes out. On stretch material a fusible stabiliser on the reverse helps as well.
