Description
Black stands deep and neutral. It does not change the fabric's colour, it only sets a line. This large 820 m spool copes with densely stitched areas too. Weight 40, colour code 1043. This tone is lightfast, which counts above all on pieces that sit permanently by a window.
Polyester takes colour permanently. On pieces that go into the wash often, that is the decisive advantage over viscose. A glossy polyester thread with no coating: the shimmer arises inside the filament and therefore stays permanently.

How do I set the thread tension?
While embroidering the top tension may sit slightly looser than for sewing. It is right when the reverse shows roughly one third top thread and two thirds bobbin thread.
What is the colour code for?
That code on the spool is the identity of this colour. With it you find the same tone again years later, while ordering by eye or by screen colour almost always misses.
How far does one spool go?
That depends on your design. A monogram needs a few metres, a densely stitched area many times more. This large spool is sized to survive several projects.
Does this thread shed lint in the machine?
Polyester sheds hardly any lint, unlike cotton. Even so, dust gathers in the hook area over time. Brushing it out once a month keeps your machine clean.
