Description
This thread shows Rouge. On white fabric your seam stays restrained, on dark cloth it steps forward clearly. Colour code 1909, weight 40, 820 m of yardage: three figures that let you reorder this exact tone later. Beyond the sheen it is mainly tear resistance that separates this thread from matt sewing thread.
If a design needs several tones, combine within the palette: spools look coherent side by side because the material is the same. Sulky built Poly Deco for machines that run fast. The thread takes friction in the needle eye without fraying.
What Sulky Poly Deco Embroidery Thread 820 m Rouge is suitable for
- area fill stitches where the sheen pays off
- quilting stitches as a design element
- labelling bags and gym sacks
Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions
What is the colour code for?
That code on the spool is the identity of this colour. With it you find the same tone again years later, while ordering by eye or by screen colour almost always misses.
Why does my design ripple?
Usually the stitch count is too dense or stabiliser is missing. Reduce stitch density in your software, add the right stabiliser and hoop the fabric taut but not stretched.
Does this thread suit hand embroidery?
In principle yes, though it is unusual. For hand work people take divisible cotton stranded thread. Machine thread is finer and more slippery, but it shines considerably more.
Which colour do I pick for which design?
Dark tones work on light fabric, light tones on dark. When unsure, lay the thread on the cloth before stitching — every colour looks different on a screen.
