Aqua sits in the blue range and reads deep or fresh depending on the fabric — the surroundings decide. The spool carries 820 m. Weight 40 is the usual fineness for machine embroidery, and the colour code reads 1045. Because polyester takes up hardly any moisture, this thread stays supple even in damp rooms.
On dark fabrics this sheen comes out best. A design then lifts away not just by colour but by light as well. The material is polyester, the finish smooth and even. Together that gives a thread which lies calmly inside a design and does not fray.

- Die Spule so aufstecken, dass der Faden gleichmäßig abläuft — ein Fadennetz verhindert Schlaufen.
- Zu schnelles Sticken lässt den Faden reißen; bei dichten Motiven das Tempo drosseln.
- Stickvlies passend zum Stoff wählen: Die schönste Farbe nützt nichts, wenn sich das Motiv wellt.

How far does one spool go?
That depends on your design. A monogram needs a few metres, a densely stitched area many times more. This large spool is sized to survive several projects.
How should I store the spools?
Upright, dry and out of direct light. Polyester is lightfast, but dust on the thread carries lint into your machine. A closed box is the simplest answer.
Does this thread suit hand embroidery?
In principle yes, though it is unusual. For hand work people take divisible cotton stranded thread. Machine thread is finer and more slippery, but it shines considerably more.
How do I plan several colours in one design?
Fix the sequence beforehand and lay the spools out in that order. You lose no time at each change and mix up no tones that look alike on screen.
