The tone Antique Brass belongs to the earth colours. Seams disappear into it on warm fabrics almost by themselves. 820 m at weight 40 — enough for many designs before a spool runs out. Colour code 1156. This tone is lightfast, which counts above all on pieces that sit permanently by a window.
Poly Deco is made for the embroidery machine: this thread runs calmly even at high stitch counts and takes the strain inside a design. The thread takes strain while staying supple. Exactly that mixture separates a clean design from a restless one.
Available in more colours in the Sulky Poly Deco series.
An embroidery needle covers most fabrics. It has a larger eye and a slight ball point, so the thread meets less friction and your weave stays undamaged. On dense designs a fresh needle after each larger project pays off.
That depends on your design. A monogram needs a few metres, a densely stitched area many times more. This large spool is sized to survive several projects.
In principle yes, though it is unusual. For hand work people take divisible cotton stranded thread. Machine thread is finer and more slippery, but it shines considerably more.
White under light fabrics, black under dark ones. On sheer material take a look from the right side before stitching: the wrong bobbin thread shimmers through a design.
