A clean Steel Grey: the thread stays neutral and never pulls the fabric's colour in one direction. 820 m at weight 40 — enough for many designs before a spool runs out. Colour code 1219. Because polyester takes up hardly any moisture, this thread stays supple even in damp rooms.
On terry and sweat this thread adds hardly any bulk while staying clearly visible — exactly what an embroidery thread should do. The material is polyester, the finish smooth and even. Together that gives a thread which lies calmly inside a design and does not fray.

- Für Stickmaschinen die Oberfadenspannung etwas lockerer stellen als beim Nähen.
- Als Unterfaden gehört ein dünnes Untergarn, nicht dasselbe Stickgarn.
- Die Spule so aufstecken, dass der Faden gleichmäßig abläuft — ein Fadennetz verhindert Schlaufen.
- Zu schnelles Sticken lässt den Faden reißen; bei dichten Motiven das Tempo drosseln.
- Stickvlies passend zum Stoff wählen: Die schönste Farbe nützt nichts, wenn sich das Motiv wellt.
- Farbnummer notieren, dann lässt sich dieselbe Farbe später eindeutig nachbestellen.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate bobbin thread?
Yes. A fine bobbin thread belongs in the case, not this embroidery thread. Otherwise the reverse builds up bulk and your design ripples. Bobbin thread comes in black and white.
Does this thread suit hand embroidery?
In principle yes, though it is unusual. For hand work people take divisible cotton stranded thread. Machine thread is finer and more slippery, but it shines considerably more.
How do I plan several colours in one design?
Fix the sequence beforehand and lay the spools out in that order. You lose no time at each change and mix up no tones that look alike on screen.
How do I hoop the fabric properly?
Taut like a drum skin, but without stretching the cloth. Pull it and you get ripples once it comes out. On stretch material a fusible stabiliser on the reverse helps as well.
