Description
Rich and warm: Tomato Red suits anything allowed to look strong, from festive decorations to a denim seam. The spool carries 820 m. Weight 40 is the usual fineness for machine embroidery, and the colour code reads 1913. The polyester is dyed through, so this tone stays the same after many washes.
Appliqué and decorative stitches on a sewing machine work with it too — this thread is not limited to a hoop. Sulky Poly Deco shines without reading metallic. The thread stays soft enough for a finished design to feel pleasant.
What Sulky Poly Deco Embroidery Thread 820 m Tomato Red is suitable for
- machine embroidery on cotton, sweat and terry
- visible topstitching with a shine
- labelling bags and gym sacks
Sewing tips

Frequently asked questions
How far does one spool go?
That depends on your design. A monogram needs a few metres, a densely stitched area many times more. This large spool is sized to survive several projects.
Can I sew with it normally?
For decorative seams yes, for load-bearing seams rather not. Embroidery thread is built for sheen and suppleness, not for the tensile strength a structural seam needs over years.
Which colour should the bobbin thread be?
White under light fabrics, black under dark ones. On sheer material take a look from the right side before stitching: the wrong bobbin thread shimmers through a design.
Does this thread shed lint in the machine?
Polyester sheds hardly any lint, unlike cotton. Even so, dust gathers in the hook area over time. Brushing it out once a month keeps your machine clean.
